MSC Divina

MS- Divina-at-sea-PUBIf you’re looking for an exciting, relaxing and fun filled time on the water, you can do no better than MSC Cruises. While there are plenty of MSC ships to choose from, many cruise aficionados are looking forward to the official sailing of MSC’s newest fleet addition, the MSC Divina, which is scheduled to sail from the Port of Miami beginning fall of 2013.

When it comes to cruise ships, few ships offer the type of amenities and the wide variety of ways a person can be entertained and pampered during their cruise than what’s offered aboard this impressive mega cruise ship. Here are a few things that you can expect to see if you are one of the lucky ones to be on the MSC Divina in the fall of 2013.

The ship offers a great deal when it comes to space and accommodations. Coming in at over 18 decks high, the Divina houses over 1700 staterooms. Out of these staterooms there are 69 MSC Yacht Club Staterooms, 1125 balcony staterooms, 124 ocean view staterooms and 405 interior staterooms.

If gourmet dining is something you’re interested in (who isn’t), MSC’s Divina boasts over seven different restaurants and 18 associated bars and lounges! From their main restaurant, the Black Crab, to the Sacramento Tex-Mex restaurant as well as the Villa Rosa, you’ll find that there are plenty of dining options for different food preferences as well. For bars, whether you enjoy a cigar bar, a disco, a piano bar, coffee bar, or a jazz club, with 18 different bars, it’s likely you’re going to find something that will appeal to your tastes.

Entertainment aboard the Divina as with all MSC Cruises is top billing with breathtaking performances in the Phanteon Theater, which seats over 1600 guests!  Want to go dancing? Be sure to check out Divina’s futuristic Disco.  Guests have a wide range of fun and exciting activities from which to choose: A fully stocked library, cinema, a huge shopping arcade, as well as a complete bowling alley.

However, this simply scratches the surface when it comes to the scope of other entertainment and activities that are available on the Divina. There are over four different pools from the main pool area, known as the AquaPark, to the indoor La Sirene pool, the infinity pool area known as the Garden Pool and Zen Area, as well as the One Pool, which is exclusive to Yacht Club Level Members. In addition to the four pools, there are five connected bar areas.

If you’re looking for something more challenging to do during your cruise, you can enjoy the MSC Sports Area for all your workout and sport activities. There is also an outdoor theater and a jogging track for you to take advantage of as well. To unwind from a busy day at sea, you can take advantage of the Divina’s two spas, the MSC Aurea Spa and the quaint La Prue Spa.

And guess what? On MSC Cruises, kids 11 and under sail for free, on all cruises.  Kids between the ages of 12 to 17 still sail at reduced rates.  MSC is a family oriented cruise line and if you’re cruising with children, the Divina has plenty of fun and exciting activities designed just for kids. There’s a mini club for ages 3 to 6, the junior club for ages 7 to 11, young teens have a Y-Team club ages 12 to 14 and 15 to 17 have their own MSC Generation Teen Club.   Outside of its expansive pools and water park areas, the Divina has Graffiti Teens Disco and a full video arcade.

As if all of that isn’t enough, one of the crown jewels of the Divina is the Casino Veneziano. This almost 11,000 square foot Casino is a popular attraction aboard the Divina.

There are also a host of other amenities on the Divina. From a dedicated men’s barbershop, a full service salon, an Internet café as well as dedicated meeting rooms, there are few ships that can offer all that the Divina does.

If you’re looking for a quality cruise and you’re prepared to wait a few months before booking your cruise, you may want to consider the Divina. With its recently updated interior and its substantial amount of amenities, there are few cruise ships that offer the type of cruise experience that the Divina can.
